Katy Hays
KATY HAYS (Vocal, Percussion) Katy has been performing since the age of 17 when she got her first gig singing the “Star Spangled Banner” at the Tommy Bartlett Water Show in Wisconsin Dells, WI, during the “dancing waters”.  She was too young and crazy to sing like that every night and eventually changed the song title to “The Star Strangled Banner”.  This experience along with years of hollering at her husband and children has fried her vocal chords into the crispy bacon pieces they are today.  She is grateful to Professor Robert O. Berdahl for introducing her to Tom Waits, a singer much like herself.  In the Twin Cities, she has performed with Hey City Theater (Beehive and Tony & Tina’s Wedding), Theater Latte’ Da (Oh &*$#!  I’m Turning Into My Mother), SCVST (Side by Side by Sondheim), Troupe America (Schoolhouse Rock), and every production of Warm Beer, Cold Women dating back to 1999 at the Bryant Lake Bowl.  Katy has also prostituted herself by impersonating Janis Joplin for different events.  You can still see Katy (along with her fellow “Warm Beer” pal Dennis Curley) performing with “The Pizazz Band” anywhere there may be a wedding, holiday party, corporate event, or dog and pony show.    Katy spends most of her time teaching these days.  She teaches pre-school music at Miniapple International Montessori and theatre classes for Minneapolis public schools.  Her latest endeavor is at Marcy Open School where she teaches 4th-8th graders how to “fry their tender voices into little bacon strips of rock” at Rock and Roll Band Camp.   Katy is married to local actor Beau Hays and they have two beautiful children, Joey (13) and Vivian (5).

He has performed the roles of Jinx, Frankie, and Sparky in the musical Forever Plaid, and was seen in Hot ‘n’ Cole and My Way at the Ordway Center. He recently performed at St. Paul’s History Theatre in Orphan Train, and in Christmas Carole Petersen at the Loring Playhouse. GARY RUE (Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Banjo) Primarily a composer, Gary has been writing music since his early teens. Recording credits include LOST IN THE SHUFFLE performed by Helen Reddy on the European release of her greatest hits compilation, and EVERYONE, recorded by Nick Lowe on his Columbia Records release THE ROSE OF ENGLAND (the song found its way to Nick via pop idol Elvis Costello, a fan of Rue's band, RUE NOUVEAU).

One of his commissions for SteppingStone, The Stinky Cheese Man(original book by John Sciezca and adapted for the stage by Kent Stephens) recently completed a national tour (including a series of performances in Shanghai, China) with the Dallas Children’s Theatre.
Gary had served since 1986 as conductor and arranger in North America for ‘60’s pop star Gene Pitney (“The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance”, “Town Without Pity”) and his 15 piece orchestra until Mr. Pitney’s death in 2006.

Christopher Thompson
CHRISTOPHER THOMSON (Soprano Sax, Alto Sax, Clarinet) has been recording and performing with many of the Twin Cities finest musicians; JT and Chris Bates, Jay Epstein, Bryan Nichols, Tanner Taylor, Michael Lewis, Adam Linz, Alden Ikeda, Tim Glenn, Greg Schutte, Adam Levy, Kelly Rossum, Yawo Attivor, and many others. After studying classical music and jazz over much of his early life, he started asking himself what a musician that plays instruments like saxophone and clarinet was going to offer in an over-saturated 21st century musical environment. In response to this question and in the interest of further developing his electronic music tastes, Chris recorded "The Three Elements" which is his debut solo release. It features him as solo artist in a multitude of roles: composer, saxophonist, bass clarinetist, laptop, loop pedals, and producer. It is available on iTunes and eMusic as well as http://www.chrismikethom.com.
